Our Production Company
Our production company is called 'Marble Moon Productions'. We chose this name because the moon is always out at night time and horrors are usually associated with the dark of night. Also, the moon is a feminine. The moon symbolises eternity, but it can also show the enlightenment of the dark side, horror films show the dark side. The full moon represents maturity, which is how our film will be structured. We chose marble because it descends from the Greek meaning of 'shining stone'. This then refers to the moon shining at night time. In astrology, the moon is a symbol of the soul, and in the horoscope it determines the subject's capacity for reflection and adaptation. The moon also allows us to understand human development.
We are an independent production company because we are not in partnership with a major film production company. Twisted Pictures (USA) is an American independent production company, who mainly create horror movies. They are best known for the Saw series.

Location Analysis
How are we going to use our location?
We are going to use our teachers room as our location. We will be putting up a tent and using the blackout blinds to block out the light coming from the windows, so then its as if we were filming in the dark and outside.
How is the location going to emphasise your genre?
Due to it being dark, it will make the time seem more realistic. Our genre is supernatural, so there will be a lot of darkness during our horror. Horrors are associated with dark because it is used to scare the audience.
Are there any issues that could arise?
The only issues that could occur is that the room we intend to use would be in use, and we would have to set up somewhere else. Also, the background noise coming from outside the room could interfere with our filming. This could entail that we do a few takes until the noise is not as bad.
Is there anything you would change about your location? How are you going to do that?
I don't believe there is anything I would change because we will not be using an outside location. There will not be any drastic risks we will have to take in order to use our location as we are using a teaching room to ensure the risk factor is low.
