Font Analysis
There are formal fonts and informal fonts that can be used to represent a certain genre. In Disney films, the majority of the titles have formal, old style writing. This style of writing shows how old the film is. 
Times New Roman font is a serif font. Serifs are the use of lines on letters, for example the letter E;

Whereas, Sans has no specific lining on the letters, E;


The font used for the poster of Disney's 'The Little Mermaid' uses serifs. Serifs make writing seem more formal. Disney needs to have more formal writing to channel the fantasy is portrays. The fonts used represent how the Disney princesses would write if they were to be real.
'The Conjuring' font is also very formal. This represents the age of the film, The Conjuring is based on a true story in 1972. Back then, letters were written formally with neat writing, so this is represented in The Conjuring lettering.
